We are delighted to announce that Leez Priory has won an award at Hitched Wedding Awards 2024 in the Historic Wedding Venue Category—this was awarded thanks to all the amazing reviews and testimonials that our couples gave us in 2023! This is the second year running for which we have won this prestigious award!
We were voted County Champion for the hotly contested Essex area in the Bridebook awards in 2022. In 2020, we won the ‘Best Countryside Wedding Venue’ category at the prestigious British Wedding Awards 2020 for the second year running! We were also shortlisted in the Best Historic Wedding Venue category at Hitched’s UK Wedding Awards in 2017 and 2o19.
Our venue was also voted ‘Best UK Wedding Venue’ by the readers of Wedding Ideas Magazine in 2014, and highly commended in the Best Wedding Venue category for the Perfect Wedding Awards in 2013. Finally, the readers of Wedding Ideas voted Leez Priory as best UK wedding venue for two years in a row, 2007 and 2008.
My niece had her wedding reception at Leez priory. It is a beautiful place, perfect for a wedding.
The food was good and accommodation was excellent.
We just can’t say enough how much we appreciate everything you did to make our wedding day one of the best days of our lives.

Leez Priory were so supportive throughout the wedding planning and our wedding planner, Sophie, on the day knew when she needed to be strict with guests or suppliers, which was needed! Sophie was always on hand throughout the day and was always by my side when I needed to ask a question.
If I could do it all over again, we would 100% go back to Leez Priory, and we can’t wait to go back and visit one day soon.
I couldn’t recommend the venue enough and if you’re thinking about booking a viewing, do it! You won’t regret it.
We wanted to say a big thank you to Lucy and her team for helping make our special day run so smoothly, it was absolutely amazing and definitely a dream come true. You are so relaxed and caring and put us all at ease knowing we were in good hands.

What a day! I can’t thank Sue and her team enough for everything they did, it was the most memorable day of our lives and all of our friends and family had the most amazing day, too!
It really was the longest wait but we chose the perfect venue. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you have been nothing but accommodating, kind, patient, helpful and supportive and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing group of people.

Luke and I just wanted to say a huge huge thank Sophie and all the staff for their support and kindness yesterday – it was exactly the wedding we dreamed of. Smooth and fun and all about enjoying time with our friends and family and it was the happiest day of our lives honestly.
A huge huge part in that was your smooth running, calm management and support of situations arising such as supporting Lois’ sitting outside. So everything is now officially perfect.
