‘The most perfect day ever’… Kerry & Oscar’s Real Life Wedding

Oscar plucked up the courage 10 years ago in their local pub in front of their friends to pop the million dollar question.

I remember going to work the following morning buzzing I was so excited.

They both decided after a long engagement they wanted to book a wedding but didn’t want to wait too long for it. As soon as they booked Leez Priory they focused on getting their invites out to all their friends and family.

Kerry brought every bridal related magazine there was to start her wedding planning.

I always loved coming across Leez Priory in the magazines. It made me feel special. I also joined Leez Facebook wedding page and found lots of ideas on there.

Kerry attended a wedding at Leez Priory. She knew as soon as she saw the venue it was the one for her.

The carriageway and lawn took my breath away it was amazing with the doors open. But if I’m honest I love all of Leez Priory.

The ceremony was held in the Coach House.

It’s so light and airy in there it’s a lovely barn. My Dad walked me down the aisle. We had a quick ceremony but it was full of laughter and happiness.

The couple chose a mouthwatering menu.  To start, Warm Chicken Salad Served with celeriac remoulade, pancetta and sage followed by Roasted Loin of Suffolk Pork Served with homemade stuffing, buttered Savoy Cabbage Cider sauce & Crackling. For dessert, they opted for the very popular Baked White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake, a butter biscuit base with rich cream cheese topping served with a raspberry coulis

Their first dance song was Nickelback, Faraway. Played by our resident DJ.

It was the first CD that Oscar brought me when we were dating. The DJ was brilliant. He played all of our favorite music.

Styling your wedding…

I knew what I wanted… I designed and made all of my centrepieces, my friend designed and printed all the table stationary and table plan so it all matched. I also made my favours.

My color theme was pink and cream.

The wedding attire…

I wore the jewellery that I wear every day, a Pandora necklace and matching earrings. My shoes where heeled converse. They were so comfy! My feet didn’t hurt at all.

Through much research, Kerry had decided she would like singing waiters to perform during her big day.

Biggest wedding splurge…
It would have to have been the singing waiters, but they were so worth it. He had everybody up and dancing and laughing.

Biggest saving…

We saved a huge amount of money on flowers due to my mum doing them.

We also shopped around for our wedding cake. We ended up getting it from Marks and Spencer.

When we asked both Kerry and Oscar what the favourite part of the day was, they said…

Honestly, we can’t give the best part. As it was all amazing from start to finish. The most perfect day ever.

One of the funniest moments was during my husband’s speech. He told a secret me and my best friend had held for years… when we were younger we broke my parents back door all over a yoghurt!

I have always wanted a picture in front of the doors at the front of the property. I finally now have one.

Kerry and Oscar will soon be jetting off to Corfu for their ‘Familymoon’
