A Stunning Manor House Wedding Venue in Essex

One of our two Essex wedding venues and three-times winner of Wedding Ideas Magazine’ Best Wedding Venue’, Leez Priory remains one of the most sought-after manor house wedding venues in the country. Set in 40 acres of parkland, with a sweeping driveway, manicured lawns and lakes, Leez Priory offers a picture-perfect backdrop for an exceptional day.

Ceremonies can be performed in any of eight licensed settings. Celebrate your day in the stunning historical Tower, which stands adjacent to the Main House. Or, for a truly unique environment, have an outdoor wedding ceremony, beneath the carriageway.

Fine dining is guaranteed, with a dedicated team of in-house chefs waiting to create your chosen culinary delights. Dine in the cosy Great Hall with its exposed beams and feature fireplace or, for larger parties, choose the rustic charm of the Coach House.

The newly transformed dance floor offers a more modern and contemporary space for those wishing to dance the night away. It is coupled with a contrasting traditional bar and lounge area available for those who want to chat and enjoy a quieter setting.

Leez Priory, a large, yet intimate wedding venue, also boasts 25 beautiful bedrooms including 3 lodges in the grounds; exclusively reserved for you on your wedding night. There’s also a delightful hidden cottage where the bride and bridesmaids can stay the night before the big day.

We had our wedding with you last Sunday (25th July) and we just wanted to get in touch to thank you so much for all of your help and support and for your staffs' excellent service. They really couldn’t do enough to help us and given the circumstances surrounding Covid, I’m sure none of you have had an easy journey over the last year or so. Despite the hit and miss weather we all had a fabulous day and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We never dreamed we would be lucky enough to have a venue like it

Leez Priory was Mark’s favourite venue – he fell in love with Leez Priory immediately! We never dreamed we would be lucky enough to have a venue like it – grand and stunning.

You have made our dreams come true, the venue was everything we could have ever wished for! The service of the staff was very professional and welcoming. We had the most magical day for our wedding on Thursday 1st August. It was so beautiful and all our guests said what an amazing venue Leez Priory was! Sue our wedding coordinator was absolutely incredible, not only is she the loveliest woman I have ever met, dealt with all of our requests and took away all of my stress as a bride and made our day unforgettable. Thank you to all of Leez Priory’s members of staff without you our day would not have been possible.

Nothing was too much trouble

To say our day was perfect is an understatement! Bright blue skies and the sun was shining! From start to finish it could not have been more perfect and the hard work and organisation put in by our wedding planner Kathryn made our day so seamless. Kathryn and all the staff were professional and efficient but with that human touch which made me, Ian and our guests feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was second to none. We received so many compliments on the food, (wedding breakfast, buffet and breakfast), bar staff, the DJ was amazing. All these people helped make our day that much more special.

Leez Priory is a beautiful building with stunning grounds. There’s a space for everybody, whether you want to chill out in the bar, run around with the kids outside or dance the night away. We also wanted pictures that we would enjoy looking back over for years to come, so a picturesque setting was important. We wanted a place where our family and friends would enjoy being. All those reasons, plus the exclusive use of the venue made Leez Priory the PERFECT venue!

It was everything I had dreamed of as a girl growing up

The moment I drove up to Leez Priory and saw the flag flying in the distance I just knew… I got out of the car and literally said wow, this is it! As a little girl, all I ever wanted was to have a horse-drawn carriage for my wedding day and I could certainly picture that at Leez Priory.

We wish we could do it all over again.

We could not have asked for a better wedding day. From the night before staying in the cottage on site at Leez Priory, right through until the stroke of midnight. It truly was the best day and thanks to the staff at Leez Priory it ran so smoothly and with no stress whatsoever, the whole day flowed so well. We wish we could do it all over again.
