Murder at the Manor – Murder Mystery Evening – Wednesday November 11th 2020

Do you fancy a night of Murder and Mystery?…

For the first time on Wednesday November 11th 2020, we are hosting a Dinner Murder Mystery Evening with the fabulous team from
Blackwatch Entertainment!

Lord and Lady Thornley-Cruttock invite you for changers and fizz. What did vicar Gordon Bennett see in the greenhouse? The Aston Martin looks ready for a quick getaway and when the Lord is poisoned it’s definitely one of you Whodunit!

Our fabulous head chef and team will be cooking up a storm for you to pick from for the evening;

Starters

Pressed Essex Game Terrine
Course terrine of Essex game, with spiced fig chutney and toasted sour dough

French Onion Soup
Caramelised onion and beef broth, laced with white wine and cognac

Pan-fried Scallops
Served with celeriac and apple

Beetroot Carpaccio
served on a crispy puff pastry base with goats cheese and rocket

  

Mains

Breast of Duck
on slow braised cabbage, pickled walnuts and rich port sauce

Roasted Loin of Suffolk Pork  
Served with homemade stuffing, buttered Savoy cabbage, cider sauce and cracklings

Herb Crusted Lamb Rump
Rosemary and mint breadcrumb with boulonge potato and red wine jus

Pan-fried Fillet of Seabass
Served with saffron crushed potatoes with a prawn and dill cream sauce

Chesnut and Mushroom Wellington (V)
Baked portobello mushroom filled with tarragon, mushroom and chestnut fricassee, wrapped in crispy puff pastry

 

 Dessert

White and Dark Chocolate Fondant
served with a mixed berry compote and a cherry liquor cream

Marmalade and Whisky Bread and Butter Pudding
A traditional dessert flavoured with a tangy orange marmalade and a rich whisky custard

Millionaires Chocolate Tart
A rich caramel and chocolate tart on a baked shortbread base

Crème Brûlée
Rich vanilla custard served with  a cinnamon and orange shortbread 
(VE option available)

Ticket prices are £60pp and include a welcome drink and three-course meal.

The evening will start with welcome drinks in the main house and then an untimely death will occur! The investigation will then begin and you will head off for dinner.


The investigation will start just after starters, where events will then unfold as we try to work out together Whodunit!

The murderer will then be confronted just after dessert!
