An Historic Barn Wedding Venue in the Heart of Essex

Set in 40 acres of parkland, with a sweeping driveway, manicured lawns and lakes, our stunning Tudor manor house and barn offer picture-perfect backdrops for a very special day. This venue is ideal for those couples that can't decide between the splendour of a country house or the rustic charm of a barn setting - at Leez Priory you can have both!

Ceremonies can be performed in any of 3 indoor settings and 4 outdoor settings, including the rustic coach house barn, the stunning historical Tower, or outside in the courtyard for a spectacular setting on warmer days.

Outstanding food & drink is guaranteed with a dedicated team of in-house chefs that specialise in wedding day catering for large parties. Our couples have the choice of either dining in the Great Hall with its exposed beams and feature fireplace or, for larger parties, opt for the rustic allure of the Coach House which can seat up to 100.

Fro the evening time, the vaulted dance floor offers a more modern and contemporary space for those wishing to dance the night away, with a bar and lounge area next door for those who want to chat and enjoy a more relaxing affair.

Leez Priory also boasts 25 beautiful bedrooms, exclusively reserved for our couples and their guests on the wedding night, as well as the picturesque Fishermen's Cottage within the grounds - the perfect little hideaway for the Bride and her Bridesmaids to stay in the night before the big day.

We had a fabulous day!

We had our wedding with you last Sunday (25th July) and we just wanted to get in touch to thank you so much for all of your help and support and for your staffs' excellent service. They really couldn’t do enough to help us and given the circumstances surrounding Covid, I’m sure none of you have had an easy journey over the last year or so. Despite the hit and miss weather we all had a fabulous day and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We could not have asked for more!

We are really happy we found Leez Priory for our special day, it was the perfect venue and cannot recommend it enough!! We fell in love with Leez Priory as soon as we pulled up into the car park and saw the venue for the first time! The staff were amazing and really attentive in helping to make sure our day went smoothly, and our Personal Wedding Manager, Rachel was so helpful in the lead up to the big day, dealing with any of our issues with ease making it stress free which ill be forever grateful for. The food was really good with huge portions, canapes were amazing along with the hog roast to finish on, we couldn't have asked for more!

We cannot recommend the venue enough!

Leez Priory were so supportive throughout the wedding planning and our wedding planner, Sophie, on the day knew when she needed to be strict with guests or suppliers, which was needed! Sophie was always on hand throughout the day and was always by my side when I needed to ask a question. If I could do it all over again, we would 100% go back to Leez Priory, and we can’t wait to go back and visit one day soon. I couldn’t recommend the venue enough and if you’re thinking about booking a viewing, do it! You won’t regret it.

We had the most magical day for our wedding on Thursday 1st August. It was so beautiful and all our guests said what an amazing venue Leez Priory was! Sue our wedding coordinator was absolutely incredible, not only is she the loveliest woman I have ever met, dealt with all of our requests and took away all of my stress as a bride and made our day unforgettable. Thank you to all of Leez Priory’s members of staff without you our day would not have been possible.

Nothing was too much trouble

To say our day was perfect is an understatement! Bright blue skies and the sun was shining! From start to finish it could not have been more perfect and the hard work and organisation put in by our wedding planner Kathryn made our day so seamless. Kathryn and all the staff were professional and efficient but with that human touch which made me, Ian and our guests feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was second to none. We received so many compliments on the food, (wedding breakfast, buffet and breakfast), bar staff, the DJ was amazing. All these people helped make our day that much more special.

Leez Priory is a beautiful building with stunning grounds. There’s a space for everybody, whether you want to chill out in the bar, run around with the kids outside or dance the night away. We also wanted pictures that we would enjoy looking back over for years to come, so a picturesque setting was important. We wanted a place where our family and friends would enjoy being. All those reasons, plus the exclusive use of the venue made Leez Priory the PERFECT venue!

It was everything I had dreamed of as a girl growing up

The moment I drove up to Leez Priory and saw the flag flying in the distance I just knew… I got out of the car and literally said wow, this is it! As a little girl, all I ever wanted was to have a horse-drawn carriage for my wedding day and I could certainly picture that at Leez Priory.

We wish we could do it all over again.

We could not have asked for a better wedding day. From the night before staying in the cottage on site at Leez Priory, right through until the stroke of midnight. It truly was the best day and thanks to the staff at Leez Priory it ran so smoothly and with no stress whatsoever, the whole day flowed so well. We wish we could do it all over again.
