Steve and Rachel

After 18 years together we weren’t sure how we wanted to hold a wedding, we considered lots of options from going abroad to having a marquee in the garden. However none really seemed to excite us. Eventually Rachel decided she would like to go away to a castle and get married there. We started looking on the net for a venue and that’s when Rachel saw Leez Priory. We booked on Boxing Day for a wedding on 20th Feb, a bit short notice for people but we were happy with that. We visited Leez on New Years Day and met Susie our wedding planner for a tour of the venue, we knew from that visit we had picked the right place. The planning was quite hectic as we live in Yorkshire as do our family and friends, so a lot of juggling about had to be done with regards to time and work etc. We had 56 people for the wedding and from the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the Leez staff were outstanding and the attention to detail was second to none. Everything flowed on the day from booking into the rooms to dealing with last minute dietary requirements. The food at the reception and the buffet at night were first class and everyone commented on the sheer quality of it all. The venue itself is perfect with having the full run of the place it gave guests options if they needed a quiet place to chill out. We had the ceremony in the tower, which was terrific, and really added atmosphere to the whole day, the lay out of the Great Hall for the reception was beautiful and was perfect for a party of our size. Many guests have commented since that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and the Priory itself overwhelmed them. All the rooms were superb especially the Bridal Suite and the breakfast the next morning was of the same impeccable standard as the rest of the food we had during our stay. If you are looking for the perfect wedding venue at a reasonable price Leez Priory is the place for you. It was well worth the journey and my only gripe is that the Leez Staff couldn’t actually make the day last a full week
