Balloons can be displayed throughout your venue to create a real wow factor. Read on to discover our top tips for using balloons in a classy way on your wedding day.

Hang

While balloons traditionally float upwards, turning things on their head can create a beautiful display that’ll make the most of the lofty ceilings that many ceremony and reception spaces have. When hanging balloons, go oversized in your wedding colours or complementary metallic shades for plenty of drama and style.

Arch

Balloon arches are fantastic ways to use inflatables well throughout your wedding venue. Whether using them to create a colourful arbor for your wedding ceremony or a backdrop during your reception, arching a mixture of balloons of varying shades, styles, sizes and textures will ensure a multi-tonal feast for the eyes and an exciting photo opportunity.

The words ‘Love’ or ‘Just Married’, or even your married name, can be added to balloon arches to add an element of personalisation to your display.

Drape

Instead of arching balloons, create garlands using the same method to adorn your reception tables. Balloons can even be combined with flowers, greenery and other foliage to ensure a show-stopping finish.

Frame

Jazz up how you present the signage that is essential to the organisation and smooth-running of any wedding with a flowing balloon display. Frame seating charts, orders of the day, ceremony programs and other signage with cascading installations to provide a playful point of interest for your guests.

Line

Line your ceremony aisle or a walkway within your venue with a very different type of ‘tree’. Balloon trees add fun, flair and a flawless finish to your wedding décor when created using singular, large balloons.

This minimalist look works especially well in outdoor ceremonies or woodland locations. The pop of colour and change of texture provided by balloon trees delivers a captivating accent to surrounding greenery and natural wedding décor.

Balloon trees also look great on reception tables in place of traditional floral centrepieces. If you’re planning to have a sweetheart table, a balloon tree or two will provide a certain symmetry that looks picture perfect.

Please note that due to high ceilings, helium balloons are not permitted in some areas.
