The morning after – how to throw the ultimate post-wedding brunch

How to throw the ultimate post-wedding brunch

Why have a one-day wedding when you could spread the festivities across a two- or even three-day period? Weekend-long wedding celebrations are growing increasingly popular as Hitched reveals:

“In a recent poll of Hitched users, 28% of couples said they were planning a multi-day wedding weekend, while 30% said they’d attended one in the past. The rise of full weekend weddings comes as pre-wedding cocktail parties and post-wedding brunches become more stylish than ever. It seems one day just isn’t enough for some couples – and we’re beyond here for this trend.”

According to the same research, wedding guests love them too, with 29% of attendees saying a two-day celebration was just the right amount of time to celebrate the special couple in their life.

Even if you didn’t want the added expense of a multi-day wedding, extending the celebration with a post-wedding brunch is something we’d certainly recommend…

Leez Priory – the perfect place to brunch

As a venue well known for its culinary delights – alongside wedding catering, we host regular food and drink events, our latest being Sunday carveries on selected weekends! – you’ll be in perfect company if you want to host your post-wedding brunch with us.

We have a dedicated team of chefs and banqueting managers on-site, all of which are ready and waiting to wow your guests with delicious delicacies and the very best service. Our menus use only the finest local produce to create delectable course after delectable course for your guests on your big day, and we’ll do the same at your post-wedding brunch too.

Why host a post-wedding brunch?

A post-wedding brunch is the perfect way to wind down after your wedding day as well as the ideal opportunity to thank a select group of guests who have celebrated with you.

Brunch guests usually include the bride, groom and their families along with any individuals who played a special part in their big day or the wedding planning process. Some couples choose to invite out-of-town wedding guests to brunch with them as a thank you for travelling to attend their nuptials.

Whoever you extend the invitation to, hosting a post-wedding brunch is a relaxed occasion that makes a lovely gesture.

Planning a brunch with us

Here at Country House Weddings, we accommodate post-wedding brunches at four out of six of our venues, including Leez Priory, Gosfield Hall, St Audries Park and Clearwell Castle.

While guests using our wedding night accommodation have breakfast included as part of their stay (which is served from 8.30am with checkout at 10.30am), the brunch option is a great extra that many couples wouldn’t go without.

Couples travelling from overseas to marry at Leez also find hosting a brunch with us a delightful addition to their wedding itinerary if they intend to stay at the venue for longer. While newlyweds opting for ‘Day After’ parties can incorporate a brunch with ease too.

For couples who have more guests than we can accommodate within the venue – with guests staying elsewhere or at The Marquis nearby – a brunch can bring everyone together to give the newlyweds that final send-off.
